Multi-County Water Supply Corporation was incorporated in 1979 after a local Steering Committee generated interest from residents in forming a rural water system to supply water to portions of Coryell, Hamilton and Lampasas Counties. After much effort by the Board of Directors and many volunteers, easements and applications were gathered but failed to gain support and funding from Farmers Home Administration. The membership fees were returned. Then in 1985, applications were again accepted and after a long process, the system began construction in 1990 with completion in June of 1991.
